This is the 2nd Benchmade knife I've purchased and both have been exceptional knives. The 1st one I lost in a hay field and replaced it with another Benchmade. Both have stood up to tough, daily use and retained their edge beyond what I would expect. Excellent knives!!

I've had this knife for over 10 years at this point. I love that you can open and shut it one handed with just a quick wrist flick. It's never come open accidentally and I feel really safe carrying it around. It's been through wash, dropped in the mud and generally abused. Despite all this it's holding up amazingly and looks about as good as it did new. The wooden scales are some kind of moisture resistant material that is super durable. Knife is exactly as ordered however the clip on the knife shows wear, as if it’s used instead of new, and the box appears worn as well…..for an item advertised as new, and priced as new, the quality isn’t that of a new knife! Disappointed as it’s a Christmas gift but there’s no time for exchange/return, so hopefully my son doesn’t care😞

I have a number of Benchmade knives ranging from $150 to $600 in cost. This one is the least ergonomic one I have ever purchased. It just does not sit in the hand well. The locking mechanism is nice and similar to other models. The thing that disappointed me the most was the sharpness out of the box. Again, I have a number of benchmades, and out of the box they average around 250 BESS. This one had a few measurements depending where I took it, but the average came out to just under 400.

I rarely take the time to write a review but felt compelled to write one for this product. I gave it a one-star rating only because I had to at least give it one star. I purchased this same knife two times previously. I ordered a NEW knife and received a USED one. There’s masking tape on the box. The knife doesn’t lock in open position.

I purchased this knife in December 2019 for $119.21. Pros: -Wood handles are unique and can look very classic -Knife is a good balance of thin behind the edge without being fragile, so it can cut delicate objects okay -Has a nice opening action that can open and close one handed -American made and serviceable, Benchmade will also repair it if you send it in Cons: -Buying online means you could end up with wood handles that are ugly sense it's purely luck -Mine came with a slight blade

Haven’t used it at all but I know it’s there. Used to carry an Adamas but it’s too big. I’m a meat cutter and I have a box cutter on my right shoulder. Keep the benchmade just behind my right hip 😊

Dieses Messer ist ein Absoluter Traum! Nicht umsonst mein lieblingsmesser! Man muss nur beachten das es nicht geführt werden darf, da es sich um ein Einhandmesser handelt. Deshalb ausschließlich im eigenen Garten verwenden! Besonders gut gefällt mir neben der wunderbaren Form noch der schöne natürlich aussehende Griff in Holzoptik. Die Qualität ist wie bei Benchmade üblich geradezu perfekt. Das Axislock ist einfach unfassbar gut läuft ausgezeichnet. Kurzum: absolute Kaufempfehlung!!!

Knife is beautiful. Really good workmanship. Unfortunately it is not "shaving sharp". Of course in every city there is a "knife community" and it is easy to find someone who knows how to sharpen this blade. Also wood colour is different on both sides. On one is like mahogany (rather dark), on another more like oak. Not a tragedy, but for this pice they should mach both sides IMHO. After proper sharpening knife is amazing!! Fantastic knife. I've owned several Benchmades (all Mini-Grips up to this point), but this is my favorite one by far. The blade is RAZOR sharp and the G10 handle is superb. The knife is admittedly pricey but well worth it considering it's carried every day. I highly recommend this knife.

I would never consider Benchmade knives to be a great value and feel that they are a bit pricier than they should be. That being said, I love their knives and have fallen in love with the Axis Lock, so I keep buying them. While still fairly expensive at $130, this knife contains a lot of the build qualities of their higher end models that cost quite a bit more. You're getting G10 (in my case) which is nicer than their grivory or versaflex, plasticy options. You get a nice open flow-through

I love this knife better than the mini-Griptillian that I lost and had to replace after using the other one for 5 years. Why did I wait so long to move to another model, when the mini-griptillian handle was slightly too narrow? This grip is a little wider and easier to handle (no pun intended), and the G10 grip looks like zebrawood. It's solidly built and has no wiggle between the blade and the grip. I can easily flick it open by pulling the axis-lock and snapping my wrist out. I like the

I've owned this knife for ~ 8 months now and carried almost every day. This really is an excellent knife. The slightly bump texture of the handle is a good touch. The only reason it gets 4 stars is the slight curve of the blade near the base by the handle makes it difficult to sharpen.

Even though this knife is for hunting, it's still small and lightweight enough to use it as an EDC knife, which is what I do. It is a bit thicker and heavier than the other knives I carry (mini barrage and mini griptillian) but I don't find it uncomfortable at all. The action on this knife is very smooth and the axis lock is easy to operate. Even though this is a manual knife, you can very easily flick it open with one thumb and deploy the blade nearly as fast as an assisted opening

I really like this knife, it is sort of like an upgraded mini grip. g10, fully lined, s30v. its a really awesome knife. Some people think the handle is not comfortable, but I wear a size xl glove and its really good for me. obviously its not huge but thats what makes it pocketable. The other complaint people have is the recurve in the blade which I also like personally but I also am competent enough to sharpen a recurved blade easily. Some really struggle with that. To me its the perfect size

Updated Review 4/30/15 - After posting this review I felt it would be fair to share my experience with Benchmade so I sent them a copy of it. They took a proactive approach and contacted me to provide them another opportunity to repair it. I found it hard to believe a company of such quality knifes would truly provide such low quality customer service. Maybe I got someone new the first time or they were having a bad day or something.
