I read this during a two-day event, a Masterclass on tax liens and deeds. Even though it's a fiction story, I learned from each of the characters' actions as they are applicable to many aspects of my life. It's a quick and enjoyable read.

The 'Little Prince' is rocket science compared to this.
Change, coming from the outside is unavoidable. You have to embrace it.
That's the message, which is bloated to 96 pages.
I would be ashamed if I would be the author of this book. And I feel embarrassed that I feel into the trap an actually brought it.

I had to sit through a presentation of this at work. It was ridiculous and childish. The manager that organized the event was fired within 6 months. I can’t say the manager was fired because of this book but it certainly didn’t help.

Well worth a read, definitely puts things into perspective in such a simple way. I’ve been stuck in a situation in my personal life for so long, this gave me the insight to find ‘New Cheese’ to improve my life instead of being stagnant and stuck in the same situation. One of my past employers inflicted this steaming pile on all employees. The message of this book is basically: all change is good, and if you don't see that, you're the problem. The message that was rammed down our throats was that we should accept and love all changes coming from above because if you aren't an executive you're to stupid to have an opinion.

Other than the above, love this book, got this for my son to read who is 23 years old. I tried to explain the premise to him, and though, oh what the heck, I'll buy it for him.

So many profound lessons in such a simple story | 21.07.2023
This book came highly recommended to me and I don't regret reading it one bit.
It's a pretty simple allegory about two mice and two little people inside a maze and the pursuit of cheese. It exemplifies the fear and frustration we go through as things in our life change. You identify with the least one of these characters, but more than likely he'll identify with all.
Change is a powerful force that we can't control, but the story helps us explore ways to better adapt.

Fully 55% of this book is spent exuding the virtues of reading "the story" (the middle 45% about mice) and applying that to your life.
The text is advocating that people adapt to changes. It doesn't advocate a single idea about HOW to do so.
Who Moved My Cheese also makes no attempt to communicate that neuroticism-level is linked to change-adversity. Learning about this can help people learn coping skills to better address changes in work & life.

I liked this story because it was an easy read and it was easy to imagine myself and others as the four main characters.
I could see myself in the story and had to laugh at myself. A must read for everyone!

Dieser wurde anschließend im Rahmen eines geförderten Stipendiums weiterentwickelt und ist heute ein eigenständiges Spin-Off.
