An entertaining film, especially if you've never seen it before. An unlikely tale with strong scientific weakness. One gaffe - you see the hero drive along empty streets where society has completely broken down. Where was the electricity coming from that powered the red traffic light?!

Brilliant film. Full of suspense, excitement and foreboding. Saw this at the cinema when it first came out and it hasn’t lost any of its magic. Far better than the remake “ I am legend” with Will Smith.

Had this for years. Seen first in the cinema, and a few times since, I find the film just a wee bit dated and suffering from plot holes and unlikely scenarios...Why/How so few of "the family"...Are they and Chuck (and the kids) the only people alive onearth??? Chuck rmains clean shaven, even after TWO years of solitude?? Minor points that don't really distract from a solid unpretentious SciFi film. One big problem for me, and it really took me by surprise - is the awful

| Nobody does the apocalypse like Chuck | 2019-12-29
This is my favourite take on the I Am Legend novel. Will Smith's version was too toned down and Vincent Prices' was too lethargic. But Charlton Heston is perfectly cast in this. Just like in Planet of the Apes he seems well suited to this type of movie and he gives a perfect balance of tension, emotion and action. With this being a seventies movie it has aged a bit, but this remains my personal favourite of the three movies.

I love this film, and it's better than the remake they did, It's also better than the even olderversion that Vincent Price did. Some ham acting in it, including Charlton Heston at times,but it's a good story which helps.

The best version of Richard Matherson's sci-fi horror classic ' I Am Legend' Charlton Heston is the last man on Earth, battling against mutants in a post apocalyptic world. To say this is a Cult classic is an understatement, great score by Ron Grainer too.

The omega man was a classic , dated when it was made, over acted none more so than chuck heston. However I first saw it as a lad, and was scared by it. I loved it then and love it now. Empty streets, solitude etc, even the truely awful bad guys. Watch it and say to yourself they don't make films like this anymore!!

Omega Man seemed scary when watching it as a kid in '70s. I remember thinking it could be quite prophetic. I've grown up and film has dated. What is with the Jimmy Saville wigs and Michael Jackson skin colouring? As I've grown up I've probably learned to appreciate better acting in films. Charlton Heston maybe an on-screen presence but it's a very wooden one (I also note he likes guns as much then as he does now - God Save America!) The film still has some nice premises
