Der Top Rum für Cocktails beeindruckt mit seinem betörenden Duft nach reifen Früchten und dunklem Rohrzucker. Klar, bei 57% Alkoholgehalt spürt man auch die Schärfe. Doch dahinter verbirgt sich eine leichte Süße, Noten von Karamell und Rohrzucker sowie eine angenehme Eichenbitterkeit. Einfach herrlich!
Ich habe diesen Rum vor allem für Tiki Cocktails gekauft und wurde nicht enttäuscht. Sein intensiver Geschmack und die vielfältigen Aromen passen perfekt zu den exotischen Drinks. Jeder Schluck

Vom Geschmack und der Nase ist er typisch aber etwas verhalten im Vergleich zu anderen (Navy Island, Coruba) aber dennoch ein sehr guter Rum. Die 57% kommen durchaus rüber ohne aber sprittig zu wirken. Ich benutze ihn für Tiki-Cocktails und da ist er sehr gut wenn es etwas mehr an Alc benötigt.

I am a massive fan of a good rum fashioned and this rum definitely stands out in this regard. It has enough backbone because of the above average ABV and a great flavour profile. By this I mean that you can mix it with certain syrups / bitters and it will still taste amazing. Great value for money if you're looking for a strong rum for rum fashioned and mai tai.

Hat ganz schönen Rums. Schmeckt aber richtig lecker. Ein echt klassischer Rum. Meiner Meinung nach zu schade für Cocktails.

I consider myself a true cocktail aficionado. Each Saturday I have a cocktail hour (or two) with friends and family visiting. The favourites are Trader Vic's style cocktails and we try and get them near enough to the original taste. My favourite cocktails are Zombie, Mojito, Hurricane, and Mai Tai. I bought this rum to add to a Zombie recipe and it worked really well.
I have tried Smith & Cross Rum neat with just a couple of rocks and wasn't that impressed with the intense
