Für das Geld OK | 2023-07-05
Messer soweit OK , für leichte Arbeiten wie Brot und Fleisch Früchte etc zu verwenden.
Die Schnitthaltigkeit des Stahls ist ne Katastrophe . Scharf ja , schnitthaltig nein.
Muss nach kürzester Zeit wieder abgezogen werden.
Kein Vergleich zu meinen alten Finnen.

Beautiful knife | 2022-12-09
I bought this knife to use as a hunting knife but decided its too pretty to mess up. The knife came extremely sharp like scalpel sharp and the blade was mirror polished with a nice etching on it. It comes with a very nice leather sheath with dangler all in all I really like this puuko knife.

Ich bin mehr als zufrieden,ein wirklich tolles Messer, sehr scharf und wenn es mal.nicht mehr ganz so ist,einmal über den Schleifstein und dann über den Lederriemen und man könnte sich damit rasieren....
Für normale Arbeiten im Garten, Bushcarft usw ein super Teil, Türen würde ich damit jetzt nicht aufbrechen wollen,aber selbst Fleisch parieren oder ausbeinen geht ....

Looks great except the end of the handle | 2019-12-22
The knife itself looks wonderful except for the nail sticking out on the handle - the gold paint was damaged and is missing and looks like it left a glue globule exposed. I have emailed the seller and let him know I posted the picture (bc I couldn’t email him the picture)- it’s a Christmas gift too so I’m like aghhhh nooo. I hope to improve my rating when I hear back.

Like most Marttiini I think they are over priced for the money but as a collector I pay the money. For the non collector there are much better knives for the money.

Sehr geehrte Leser,
ich habe dieses Messer, nur mit einer anderen Scheide, Jahre im Wald benutzt und viel Freude mit dem Messer gehabt.
Dieses Messer mit der sternförmig endenden Scheide wurde schon im finnischen Urwaldkrieg 39 - 44 getragen, dies ist
durch ein Foto belegt.
Auch im Film ,, Schlacht um Finnland '' sind diese Messer, nur die kürzere Ausführung, zu sehen.

Referred to as a puukko and a traditional accessory of most all Finns. Although not issued by the Finnish army, most all Finnish soldiers carry their own. This is a high quality authentic Marttini modern edged weapon/tool made in the tradition of this storied knife. Priced right. Made in Finland. Buy with confidence.

My Father gave my brother and I each one of these knives 55 years ago. I still have mine although it has a patina impacted blade. This is an excellent product and I wanted a new one for my 600 + knife collection. Very impressed. Excellent quality. I have purchased two other knives from this maker. Products exceed expectations.
