Had one similar to this from Hozelock for about 10 years. eventually the pivot point on the trigger broke away and could not be repaired. Overall itsa good value product in my view, and can be adjusted and oiled as required. Recommended store indoors when not in use.

Doesn't switch off water flow when trigger is released. Seems the spring has lost its strength to ensure it returns fully to the closed position.
Lost count of how many hozelock sprayguns I've had over the years, which have failed prematurely. I'll be buying another brand from now on.

This feels a lot more robust than the plastic version I had previously. It's easy to use, with a comfortable trigger and positive selection on the pattern-selection dial.

Not great, only lasted 12 months then the trigger stuck in, so couldn't turn off. Thought buying a decent make and paying a bit more would have got a few years out of it. On googling this is a common issue with these

Connecting up this year (bought in May 23), having stored it inside, the gun is stuck open. A previous one did exactly the same. I first of all followed Hozelock's advice to soak in warm water and vinegar for 40 minutes - no improvement, then a Youtube video on the issue which shows exactly what goes wrong, but was unable to solve it. I shall be return it to Hozelock for a replacement.

Excellent quality.
A famous and trusted brand.
Good spray patterns. Central is like a mini jet wash for bikes.
Feels solidly constructed, and the trigger is very comfortable.
The lock for the trigger works well.

Iv had a few hose guns over the years and what Iv found is the plastic becomes brittle and break with the weathering so this metal one will hopefully be a lot more sturdy but only time will tell
So far it has worked perfectly and does feel like a quality hose gun for extended periods of time the trigger does become a bit hard to keep pressed down so I just push the red trigger and keeps it on without the need to keep it pressed down it works perfectly
I would give it 5 stars but don’t know how

Usual spray options, great having the ability to “lock” the spray on. No need to keep holding the release button. Makes this much easier to use

Previously had the same but in plastic, this is such an advance on that. Very easy to hold and super strong. Looking forward to when I will use it everyday to water the garden, lots of different sprayer controls. Worth the extra money.

Wish I’d have just got this from the start as it’s really good quality and I guess time will tell but I’m expecting it to last.

This is a fabulous product in terms of sturdiness and ease of holding and operation; however, the multi jet leaked and did not provide what it said on the tin. it leaked consistently whilst being operated and I ended up with wet feet

My first one lasted years but the last 4 years Ive had to replace every year. This one lasted less than 5 months before it starting spraying water from the sides in every direction - absolutely rubbish! This is the last hozelock one I’ll buy.

This is sturdy and easy to fit/use on the garden hose. An earlier Hoselock was left out in freezing conditions and broke so it's advisable to take the trigger off in very cold weather.

I’ve had lots of garden spray guns in metal or plastic, and you get what you pay for. Hozelok are consistently good, so long as you take care not to drop them.

I thought buying this premium product would have lasted, but sadly not. Wish I’d read the other reviews about the problems others have experienced. Not heavily used and trigger is stuck in on position and won’t release. Won’t be buying another one, and most likely won’t be buying a hozelock product. Sure a cheaper one would have lasted longer

| Failed Trigger Mechanism | 14.02.2024
I have bought two of these Hozelock trigger guns and in both cases they have failed after about 10 months of use. The trigger mechanism becomes faulty which means it is no longer possible to cut off the water supply by releasing the trigger. No amount of cleaning the device has been helpful.

It was working fine a few times but it started leaking quite heavily from under the yellow ring which switches the type of spraying . Requested the new one .

Used gun occasionally for 3 months, now failed & leaking very badly - unusable. Disappointed.
Nothing to do with the cost but will be asking for a replacement as a matter of principle.

Thought I would purchase this as looked sturdy being part metal and slightly more expensive than the plastic version. I was disappointed after using a few times as started to leak at the front nozzle end. Won't buy again and yes I did fit it to other Hozelock parts.
