But its hard to convince younger fans who dislike his older style that this one is totally different. The music is old and terrifically simple. The artists preform it in a very basic traditional way. If your looking for over synthesized, over sung high notes, auto-tune or drum machines this is not for you. However, if your looking for authentic American music written in the times of struggle and performed by artists who take great care to present it in a way that preserves the past, it's right here. I enjoy the pace and the simplicity of this album, it's refreshing in an era of noise.

Not exactly what I expected, but maybe even better -- not all the songs were familiar to me so I learned from them and several were performed differently than ever I had heard them (probably more authentically) so that was a treat. It is more of a curiosity piece, however, than something I will play many times.
