The blu ray came brand new as described, and better price than others.
Winters Bone is definitely worth watching. Some stuff as all movies aren’t realistic, but if you want a good view of the New Ozarks this is your movie.
My family liked how hardly any profanity was used, and no indecent scenes. If only more movies kept those indecent scenes out.

This must of been the film that put Jennifer Lawrence into stardom...
she plays a17 year old trying to bring up younger brother,& sister,& to complicate& worsen the situation she has to find her errant father whose put the family house up as part of a court bond.
Faced with homelessness JL has to track her father down, which leads to all sorts of dangers.
The film is austere ,& realistic, & well directed by Debra Granik.

Very depressing look at rural poor lives with very little hope and aspirations. Interesting and a certain warmth to characters. Jennifer Lawrence is excellent as the daughter facing adversity.

I love this movie. So many plot twists. And it actually wasn’t really far-fetched, especially being in a community like that. Poor area, not very densely populated, lots of illegal activity, drugs, crooked cops. Shows what can happen when someone snitches in that world. Didn’t like the ending when the uncle drove away, presumably knowing he wasn’t going to ever come back

So real, the acting is exceptional. It sucks you in. It’s been a favorite of mine for years and years so I finally just purchased it. Well worth the watch.

Loved the well written book set in a harsh snowy landscape. The film was “ based” on book but not a flake of snow was seen and all the characters were different too. Watch the film or read the book but not both !!

I love Jennifer Lawrence and had high hopes for the movie, but it just never went anywhere. Every time you think something exciting is going to happen, it doesn’t. Overall a very uneventful movie.

Dislike movie,live in the ozarks,and forsyth is just about an hour,from where I live.But nothing like the reviews. Not a tear jerker,but had a couple sad parts in it.would not recommend movie to watch,not that good.
