Dès la pochette, on donne le ton. A quoi devait-on d'ailleurs s'attendre avec cet album ? De la techno ? De la world matinée de rap ? Wilko Johnson et Roger Daltrey vont faire ce qu'ils savent faire: du rock, tout simplement. Parce que c'est leur truc à eux, ils ne connaissent que ça. Rock del bueno. Disco redondo, vibrante, enérgico, con canciones de Wilko y Dr Feelgood con una versión del clásico de Dylan “Can You Please Crawl Out Your Window’”. Sube el ánimo. Tan pronto lo escuchas, ya no puedes dejar de hacerlo. Ahora mismo tirado de precio.

Diese CD könnte auch heißen: "Daltrey sings Johnson". Bis auf jeweils einen Titel auf der CD selbst und auf der Bonus CD stammen alle Stücke aus der Feder von Wilko Johnson. Geboten wird knochentrockener Rhythm and Blues im Stil von Dr. Feelgood, was auch nicht verwundert, weil Wilko Johnson bis 1977 als deren Gitarrist diesen Stil massgeblich beeinflusst hat. Den einen oder anderen Who-Klassiker hätte man sich aber zumindest bei den Live-Aufnahmen der Bonus CD schon gewünscht.

Tengo todo el material de Dr. Feelgood que me encanta. Este disco es una bomba, sus versiones mejoran en muchos casos a las tomas originales. La voz de Daltrey realzan muchisimo los temas que Johnson habia grabado en su epoca en solitario y no desmerecen a las grabadas con la voz de Brilleaux.

This was an inspiration teaming Roger with Wilko. Anyone who was disappointed with "I'm a Man" should rush to listen to this. I agree that Wilko's voice has weakened through the years but the introduction of Roger, whose voice has definitely not suffered, more than compensates for the late Lee Brilleaux.

Bought this on the off chance, always having liked Dr Feelgood and The Who and wow what a surprise!! Cannot stop playing the album and it really works! Wilko's guitar work drives the music and Daltry is at his best for years! Love it!!If you are wondering about buying the album, don't wonder just buy it play it load and enjoy! Rock and roll as it should be!!

The best album from either Wilko or Daltrey in years and years and years and, dig THIS, in the UK this was the biggest seller of new material from these guys in thirty years! Yes, neither man had a bigger British hit album in the last three decades. This one rocks like a ship at sea in a storm and if you love guitar rock and roll paired with gritty vocals you need this in your collection. End of story. Or as John Lee Hooker would tell you, "this is hip, pretty baby" and in this case

Stunning album with my favourite guitar player. And great vocal from the legendary Roger Daltrey. The freshest rock album I've bought in a long time. And I'm so happy that Wilko is back from the very serious sickness that he was told he would die from. I have tickets to see him in concert in my home town on April 11th. Can't wait!

This is an LP looking for a vocalist. Daltrey is a rocker who, let's face it, is past his best and not a R n' B singer. At times it grates as he tries to make up for his lack of range by bawling. I don't dislike Daltrey and his vocals with The Who are great, but not what is wanted here. On the Live section of the bonus CD, it matters less. The "Wilko" versions of songs on the bonus CD also suffer from weak vocals.Some of the tracks are brilliant. You could close your eyes
