I bought the disc of "Silverado". The first time it froze and skipped was before the title. Then it completely froze up and refused to clear, move or skip past the frozen part about 35 minutes into the movie. The disc is so scratched up that it will no play. Period. This was supposed to be a new DVD. You're warned.

I bought Silverado dvd in June and have just got round to watching it - but I couldn’t watch it because “Playback prohibited by region code”!!!!! I have spent £17.50 on this useless dvd. Thanks a lot.

Great Western, Awful Commentary Track | 08.07.2023
Yet another American Western movie that has a commentary track with critics who want to bash the movie, America, Christians, and the Old West in general.
These two academics waste no time complaining about the lack of ethnic diversity, how the hats (and other accessories or set dressings) are wrong for the period, and the weak roles given to women. One of them spends a good amount of time plugging his films or New Mexico (where he teaches) . . . when he's not taking shots at the movie.

A perfect homage to the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s Westerns that shaped many a men's childhoods. Only thing missing was Clint Eastwood who was excellently replaced by Scott Glenn.

Wonderful performances by every single actor. Dramatic with action and some humor. Draws you in from the beginning. This is a slick wonderful Western. A classic in my opinion. Just introduced my 14 yr old grandson to it and he loved it! I loved the bonds of friendship that formed in this story!

This is a film I have not been able to see completely from beginning to end. Usually that has been because it has been a showing on TV and that has been on commercial stations. I therefore decided to buy a DVD/Blu-ray to see in its entirety.
Thoroughly enjoyed the film as a well paced western. John Cleese appearance is about right, but don’t take that as a selling point for this film The contributions by Scott Glenn and Danny Glover carry overall story, with an interesting role by a very young

J’ai vu Silverado à sa sortie au cinéma en 1985. Dans les années 80, le western était devenu un genre très mineur qui ne faisait plus recette et rêver (hormis le Pale Rider de Clint Eastwood sorti la même année). Silverado est un film choral qui suit le parcours de quatre cowboys qui vont s’allier contre des ennemis communs. Chacun prendra sa part. A l’encontre de Pale Rider, Silverado est beaucoup plus « léger » et optimiste avec un rythme plutôt enlevé à l’image des films de l’époque. Le
