Thumb stud is loose brand new | 28/09/2023
The thumb stud that you push against to open the knife is a little loose wobbly. There's no way to use any wrench or screwdriver to tighten it. After I read some more reviews, now I see that this is a recurring problem. I was hoping I would not get a bad one, this must be a roll of the dice. Other than that the knife is everything as expected. It is sharp and clean. I have this Smith & Wesson border guard and I like it a lot but it's too heavy for some of the things I do. Too bad it

Couldn't receive it as South Korean customs reviewed it as a dangerous weapon.

Awesome knife it’s made as well as $100.00 knives superior quality blade made of superior steel to superior handle material it’s razor sharp blade slices through the meat like chainsaw it’s fancy lanyard with nice decorative beads this is my new extra tool on my side I’m a police officer and have been in the military and this will replace my $130.00 blade I carried for over 20 years this has passed every test I’ve putting through and still remains razor sharp manufacturer made this heavy duty

I bought a S&W knife about 12 years ago at a AutoZone, best 15$ I ever spent. Always stayed sharp and the serrated edge works great. Only problem is if your flip it open to hard, it gets a little stuck....I know my ex stole this knife, out of all my knives, that's the one she took. I will be buying another one.

Solid knife at a great price | 17/12/2022
I bought my first one of these knives about 10 years ago at a sporting goods store. It has held up as a daily pocket knife for that long. I saw it again here on Amazon and ordered another S&W because the price is still reasonable and, as I have depended on this knife as a go-to for so long, I just treated myself to another just keeping in the truck.
I have other knives- Benchmades, in particular- but my S&W knife has held up over the years, and without the $200+ price tag of the

Paint on handle starts to fade and knife can get stuck open | 31/10/2022
I love this knife, for the price its great. But a couple issues have started now that its a month old. The handle the paint starts to flake off which is a contrast from black to bright sliver or aluminum. Also should you flick it open too hard the lock locks up so you are unable to open with any type of thumb strength and you have to use something to press it down to release which is any issue.

Smith and Wesson Border Guard knife is well made. It does not have flaws (bent blade, etc.) as with other inexpensive knives. It fits well and feels good in your hand. Overall, it is a lot of knife for a reasonable amount of money.

Biggest hunk of crap I ever owned. Didn't hold an edge. Locked once I awhile. Heavy as a brick,and the blade came out of the handle after12 hours . Now big texx gives honest reviews I won't lie to you. I did like the black color though.

The blade gets stuck open half the time I use the knife. I haven't even done anything strenuous with it yet. Very disappointing!!

I purchased 8 of these as Christmas gifts for employees. I gave them to other people a few years ago and they loved them, so I decided to include them this year with a different group of people.
The only issue I had was two of these ended up scratched and appeared to be used or returned....really not sure. They were all packaged in individual S&W boxes and appeared to be new, but I didn't check each one. I found out after Christmas that two of the knives were "worn" and

I'm not sure if this was a joke or just pure mistake, but the knife I received was used. It looks like someone owned the knife for years. The gears or folding mechanism even squeaked when I unfolded the knife. The handle and blade are chipped, scuffed, and very weathered. The tip of the knife was gone. The box for the knife was beat up as well. Just old looking, and maybe got wet with water. Terrible purchase.

Ok I buy same knife 5 years ago. The deal on Amazon was even cheaper than the last I pay 5 years ago anyway this knife will last forever now I have two and for me this is the best TANTO knife on the market. Sturdy light weight, long lasting good quality.
