This is the MFH very good reproduction of the Bundeswehr (German Army) sleeping mat/pad. It was designed to be a modular component of the formerly issued (but still available as original surplus/copy) German Mountain/Alpine rucksack. Obviously this isn't as comfortable as a thick sleeping mat would be, however considering the given thickness this is stupidly comfy. I am quite short so it is a bit long for me, if I fold over the top square and put it between my arm and head, this makes a decent pillow!The material feels of very genuine and high quality make.The West German army used this origami sleeping matt design to provide the support (skeleton) for their rucksack. Not made for comfort but perfect to put under something you don't want wet or punctured. Made to be used as a frame for a German alpine pack. Lightweight and tough, ideal to throw in your bag and should last a lifetime.

Wer sich diese Matte kauft, ist selbst schuld. In einer lauen Sommernacht mag das Teil als Nässeschutz taugen, aber von 0,4 cm darf man nichts Sonderliches als Isolation erwarten. sofern unsere Bundeswehr unsere Jungs so ausgerüstet in den Krieg schickt, sei gesagt, das es sinnlose Last erzeugt, die der atme Mensch zwar schleppen darf, ihm aber faktisch nur im Hochsommer etwas bringt. Mit dieser Isomatte bin ich sehr zufrieden. Sie hat eine sehr schöne Länge. Habe sie schon lange in Betreib.Wird immer wieder benutzt. Würde die gleiche wieder kaufen.
