| Amazing (and Expensive) Pan! | 2020-03-06
I hate cooking. My wife does it all (which is good, as she loves it). Despite how I feel about cooking, even I am amazed by this wok (well, I am the person who clears up after every meal to even things out as much as I can!)We have a full set of Lecruset pans and have been using them for years for everything from rice dishes to curries to...well...pretty much everything. As soon as we got this wok that all changed. My wife now uses this pan for almost every meal she cooks (except where a pan

Now then... I live on stir-fry several days a week. i started off with one of those dirt-cheap ones from the local Chinese superstore, then seemingly upgraded to a mass-produced Ken Hom work, then onto another well-known high-street brand, and then another, and then another until I end up with a Tefal wok (which isn't really a wok, it's just wide like a wok, but with a flatter bottom). Then this Fissler Luno came up for review and I snapped it up right away!Straight out of the box it

The only contentious thing about this wok is the price so I'm going to deal with that first. At over £150 this is a very expensive kitchen item (the only thing I own that cost more is my Le Cruset casserole dish). And whilst I'm happy to say that this is a really high quality pan, I can also understand and agree that the price is too high. Add it to your Christmas, Birthday or Wedding list and if somebody buys it for you - great. German engineering at its best.The wok consists of the pan

This is a good looking Wok, finished to the highest standards.Can be suited for someone cooking for one, as well as for a family. Its all about the heat conduction and many manufactuers claim that with their products heat stays in the base after you switch off the heat source. I have to say in this instance this is correct. When the pan was hot, I turned off the electric hob and finished frying my stir fry without having to turn on the heat again.You dont just have to stick to stir-frying

This heat retaining wok is ideal for electric cookers and hotplates, retains heat well with an even distribution. The two handles remain cool even after prolonged use.The well fitting lid means that steaming that is required for many dishes can be accomplished without any difficulty.Care should be taken with the non-stick coating, we use wooden implements which to avoid damage to the surface, though coated implements should be alright.Cleaning is without any difficulties, any burnt on residue

A nicely constructed, sturdy/solid and attractively designed wok. It remains to be seen if it lives up to its own hype re the non-stick coating. But in the few uses we've made of it so far - it only arrived a few days ago, and we've already used it twice - it seems pretty good. A decent medium large size, with plenty of capacity if, like us, you normally cook for two, or occasionally three or four. We really like this wok!

This Fissler Luno Wok weighs in at nearly 2 ½ Kg (5 ¼ lbs) and contains a lot of stainless-steel - it is made in Germany and is a proper piece of engineering – something like the Mercedes of the kitchen – the only thing Chinese here is the cuisine! This wok is built to last and is very well designed - the CookStar base can be used on all hobs – including induction – and it features Fissler's abrasion-resistant Protectal Plus non-stick coating to make cooking and cleaning even easier. First of all, this is made in Germany and as expected, it's a quality item. It is solid and feels like something that will last and last and last with proper care. When it arrived, though, despite being plastic'd up and boxed, it was incredibly dusty and I had a panic thinking that the black powder on my hands had to be the coating coming off, and wondered what this meant, but I think it was just dust and/or a protective coating. It washed off fine and there are no bits of missing

Ich bin begeistert! Ich hatte schon diverse Woks in meiner Küche jedoch war bislang keiner so ein toller kleiner Koch wie dieser hier! Der Wok an sich hat schon ein gewisses Gewicht kann ihn aber auch mit meinen dünnen Ärmchen tragen. Er nimmt die Wärme schnell auf und ermöglicht es somit zügig mit dem anbraten anzufangen. Vor allem bleibt nichts hängen und brennt an!!! Ist das Essen dann zubereitet kann man es mit dem dazu passenden Deckel vor diversen Naschmäulern schützen ;) Und man kann
