wieder mehr Country | 04.01.2022
Das Album dauert fast eine Stunde und beinhaltet 14 wunderschöne Lieder. Dieses Mal gehen die Lieder wieder eher in die Stilrichtung Country, die Popeinflüsse sind aber immer noch zu hören. Faith singt gewohnt toll.

Fortunatamente ho trovato su Amazon questo bellissimo cd,dopo aver ascoltato Tim( Mc Graw),
"Mississippi Girl", "Like we never loved at all"( duetto con Tim Mc Graw),semplicemente il miglior album di Faith.
Un ringraziamento ad Amazon dove la musica country qui, quasi introvabile, mi fa scoprire nuove canzoni.

I bought this in 2005 when it first came out. I think it is her best cd since Faith. The singles that were released were Sunshine And Summertime a fun kind of bouncy Martina McBride ish kind of Happy Girl song. Mississippi Girl kind of an autobiographical song about how fame hasn't changed the girl from Star Mississippi. It mentions how she made a movie but all her fame hasn't given her the big head. Just mentioning that in the son makes it sound to me that her head is slightly

I truly love, "Like We Never Loved At All". The words of this song speak for themselves and the manner in which Faith delivers the message with her sultry sound is both enjoyable and makes you really identify with the sense of sadness she delivers.

Is it just my imagination, or are there only three really memorable songs on Faith Hill's new CD, Fireflies? And is it just my imagination, or are two of those co-written by John Rich? Can anyone else in Nashville write compelling music and lyrics today? Unfortunately, I don't think my imagination is running wild with me at all.

There were certainly some misses in this album but I really liked Stealing Kisses and You Stay With Me. I probably would've been better off buying the individual mp3's. Still a good album.

I've been a Faith Hill fan for years, so I always look forward to a new release. Fireflies has some of the country-twang staples that have endeared us to her for so long, but being the crossover star she is this album also heads into some light rock territory. Not my favorite Faith effort, but a good solid album overall.

A little better than her pop centered albums I've reviewed (Faith, Breathe). Would have given it a 3.25 stars if it was available, since it is a little better than the "Breath" album in my opinion.
But lacks the magic of her first two albums. ("Take Me As I am", and "It Matters To Me" to me are still Faith's best all-around albums)
"Mississipi Girl" was the winner on this album. Solid "A".

Bei dieser CD sind die Texte dabei und das finde ich richtig gut.
Sehr schöne Musik! Contry Musik ist auch manchmal eintönig. Aber bei dieser
CD ist jedes Lied ein Ohrwurm.
Die Lieferung war mal wieder spitzenmäßig.

I love every single song! This is one of my very favorite CDs that I own. Way to go Faith Hill! I love country music with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill singing together in "Like We Never Loved At All" this song was very beautiful and lovely as well. This album was amazing and from an amazing singer in the whole wide world.
Fun songs mixed with more serious ones gives this an awesome balance. I will surely be listening to this for a long time to come!!!

It took me a while to purchase this cd (despite the fact I am a huge Faith fan). However, after reading and hearing mixed reviews about this cd and having doubts about "Fireflies", I decided to purchase the cd last week....and I am so glad I did.
I think a lot of people are disappointed in the fact that Faith returned to her country roots. I for one am happy she is going back country (especially after the pop-soul album "Cry"). However, the materials on "Fireflies"

This album is a very healthy 4 stars. Faith came back to teh modern country fold and it clearly suits her better than her ventures on the previously two albums, Breathe and CRy. Good songs:
Sunshine and Summertime - fun song about having fun in summer
Mississippi Girl - rock edge to it, has spark. Faith proclaims she is still a "Regular Jane" from Mississippi at heart.
Dearly Beloved - kind bluegrassy. Funny song about redneck marriage. "See the side effects of sex and

Firleflies is a great cd! It really has a variety of songs and Faith does a great job! While some songs are upbeat, like sunshine and summertime, others show a more artistic view, like Stealing Kisses. All of the songs deal with real life issues, times. Mississippi girl was written just for Faith, obviously! She really pored her heart& Soul into this one!!I do think Cry still showed her voice the best, but this one is for the country raido fans too I guess. I would like more gospel songs, or

Schade. Waren es gerade die letzten 3 Cd's von ihr, die mir ein Gänsehautfeeling brachten, ist diese CD wieder eine reine Country-Herz/Schmerzschnulze. Back to the roots muss nicht immer positive Auswirkungen haben. Ich bin ehrlich enttäuscht. Langweilige Songs von Anfang bis Ende (eines natürlich gemeinsam mit Ehemann Tim McGraw gehaucht) lassen Songs wie Cry, Breathe, This kiss oder When the lights go down (auch alle langsam, dafür aber Klasse!) leider vergessen. Ich bin durch Zufall zu Faith Hill und dem Genre "Country" gekommen, und als erste Anschaffung in diesem Bereich habe ich mir "Fireflies" von Faith Hill gekauft.
Abgesehen davon, dass Faith sehr gut aussieht, kann sie toll singen, ob allein oder im Duett mit ihrem Mann Tim McGraw.
Ihr sechstes Album kann ich jedem wärmstens empfehlen, der auf Country steht und einfach ein bisschen Bock auf Urlaub hat, denn schon "Sunshine and Summertime" zaubert jedem Sonnenanbeter

I was never a great country fan until Shania Twain's "the Woman in Me" came out. Then I started listening to more country music. Faith Hill is such a wonderful artist. This is a really fun CD to listen to. My favorites are "Fireflies" which reminds me of my daughter (3 years old) who believes she is a princess (as do I, of course) and "Lucky One" which I discovered from the CD jacket was actually recorded on the day my daughter was born...talk about lucky. Comme le titre l'indique, cet album est pour moi le meilleur que Faith ait pu produire. L'ensemble s'écoute sans problème de bout en bout, et on en redemande. Faith pose plus sa voix et s'amuse sur certains titres, on sent qu'elle a pris du plaisir à chanter cet album, et on plonge tête la première dans le délicieux plaisir que procure l'écoute de sa voix puissante et chaude. Die beste Faith Hill aller Zeiten | 02.03.2007
Das ist wohl das schönste Album, das Faith Hill je aufgenommen hat. Abgesehen davon, daß die europäische Version dieser CD einen Titel weniger enthält als die US Version, kann man nichts Negatives über dieses Album sagen.
Ich hab mich sehr gefreut, daß Faith Hill wieder zu den Country Wurzeln zurückgekehrt ist. Damit will ich die Qualität der letzten Alben in keiner Weise schmäleren - aber dieser einmalige Sound des Albums "Fireflies" übertrifft selbst ihre ersten Werke.

I think that everything worth saying about this CD has been said. If you like it, you do, and if you don't, then you don't. I personally don't think that it's fair to try and box a performer in and expect them to keep turning out the same thing over and over again on every CD. Then people would be whining that Faith is just playing it safe and is afraid to take chances. So, it seems that no matter what an artist does, people will always find something to complain about. I
