Another great circa addition | 01/08/2018
Actually one of my favorite circa albums. Might not be so overwhelmingly crafty as the others but there’s a lot of talent to observe here, and a good few killer tunes. I own every album in CD and digital form, listen to them all, and I do come back to this one semi-often.

Beautiful album, from the cover to the LP itself. The item arrived on time, and in perfect condition. In my opinion this album was one of the best Circa Survive has put out since On Letting Go. Their follow up, The Amulet, is also a great album!

Anthony Green is one of my favorite vocalists...definitely within the top 5. I love Circa Survive..but so far, nothing tops their "Blue Sky Noise" album. I have to give this one more of a chance, but to be honest, and this is sad to say, but I am disappointed with it. It just feels thin and empty...although maybe they were going for something different, creatively, or artistically? I'm not sure. CIRCA SURVIVE ist eine Progrockband aus den USA, die es seit 2004 gibt. Hier zu Lande waren/sind sie bisher relativ unbekannt gewesen und das sollte sich hoffentlich nun mit ihrem neusten Output ändern. Eine EP und vier Full-Lenghts-Alben sind bisher von ihnen herausgekommen und nun also "Descensus".
"Descensus", besteht aus 10 Songs die auf 49:44 Minuten verteilt sind. Mit "Schema" geht das Album recht flott los und auch "Child Of The Desert", sowie auch

Endlich ist "Descensus" nun auch hier zu Lande erhältlich. Sogar vor dem eigentlichen Release am 24.11.2014 konnte man alle Songs kostenlos streamen. Deswegen habe ich das neuste Werk von Circa Survive auch bereits einige male durchlaufen lassen. Und es ist absolut großartiger Fanservice, der einem hier geboten wird.
Die Songs sind durchweg druckvoll, energetisch und absolut hörenswert. Sänger Anthony Green zeigt, dass er es versteht, seine hohe und unverwechselbare Stimme sowohl in

The progressive and ambient rock you sometimes hear with them is alive and flourishing and it's beautiful! This band continues to be one of the greatest of it's time.
