Exploratory | 2021-05-22
Debut (1993) is technically Bjork’s second album, the first being a now out of print album from when she was a child. As an adult, it’s her first (yes, debut) album that is very exploratory in its sound and creative direction. While a lot of the album comes across as early 90s dance music, there are some tracks that go a little deeper lyrically and are less tight in chorus and melody. Didn't Really Hit Me | 2019-12-20
Bjork's debut album includes a variety of styles such as electronic pop, house music, jazz and rock.
She is obviously an artist who wants to renew the music and she comes a long way in both genre and instrumentation. This is so far the best Birch album I have come across so far, but I am mostly left with a sense of unforgettable pop and monotonous electronic dance beats. Il vinile purtroppo salta in vari punti, l’ho rimandato indietro e me ne hanno spedito un altro.
Stessa cosa, stesso problema.
Credo che Amazon ha dei problemi con i vinili, perché non è il primo che mi arriva con questo tipo di fastidio.

One of the lovely things about the 90s was that one purchased CDs back then. What is lovely these days is that you may quite unexpectedly find a particular CD in your collection that you had forgotten all about the last two decades so you certainly haven't listened to it. And when you do find such a CD and play it, it can be like listening to it the first time but not the first time, and thinking "what a gem this is! Es ist zwar schön, wenn gute Alben nachgepresst werden, doch leider fehlt auf diesem Repress der Song "Play Dead". Eindeutig der Beste des gesamten Albums. Dieser ist leider nur auf der griechischen und spanischen Pressung von 1993 enthalten. Schade, dass er seinen Weg nicht auf die Wiederveröffentlichung gefunden hat. Deswegen 2 Sterne Abzug für eine ansonsten feine Platte.

Superbe album de Bjork méritant un vinyle | 2017-11-22
La livraison a été réalisée en un temps record. L'emballage assez imposant a assuré une protection très utile pour un vinyle restant tout de même un objet assez fragile. Sur le disque maintenant, tout a déjà été dit. Pour moi le plus bel album de Bjork, peut être aussi par la nostalgie des images que je lui associe. Planant. Le son est de très bonne qualité (platine audio technica). Le prix est très (très très) intéressant.

Lieferung und Versand waren OK, die CD war gebraucht, das wusste ich.
2 Lieder auf der CD haben gesprungen. Ist aber nicht schlimm, weil die nicht in meinem Geschmack waren.
Ich gebe 3 Punkte , weil mir nur ein paar Lieder gefallen, das hat nichts mit dem Händler zu tun.

Lecture du disque : des craquements par ci par là secs et vifs sur les 2 faces alors que c'est 1 vinyl neuf...j'ai d'autres vinyls des 90's ( achetés neufs et toujours lus sur la même platine ) et qui ne craquent pas ainsi.

J'adore cette artiste mais j'ai du me tromper d'album, et la je suis déçus, le mastering rien à dire, mais voilà! Bref ceci dit ce n'est que mon ressenti. En ce qui concerne la livraison j'ai reçu le CD dans un boitier cassé, je que c'est un accident de parcourt au moment de la livraison, bref j'avais un autre boitier cristal vierge et le problème est réglè, tous mi l'un dans l'autre me fait mettre une étoile.

I heard one of the selections on this album while watching a abstract laser show. It was very well done and the music was interesting enough that I wanted to hear the album. I don't know why I missed Bjork when she was in her heyday of performing. She is different from most music that I'm familiar with. Also, I get a little kick out of her accent here and there in her singing. I find some of her musical and instrumental arrangements interesting as well. She must have had a good time
