With the ESC, the brushless motor and the extended solid tail boom, it puts the mcps somewhere between the mcpx and the old mcpx BL. I think it's just right!

The tail motor was weak and intermittent. I really just wanted the long tail boom, so I used my old motor and it works great.

I like the long tail boom because it promotes less stress on the tail motor and the result is better control when flying.I would hope in future that E- flite would come up with a better way to attach the boom because it comes off when you crash soft or hard,Just suggestion, if you crash make sure the tail boom connection wires did not break or get pitched. If they are broke and connection is notcomplete, you have a good chance of burning out you control board.The boom is solid and I have

this is a great mod for the mcpx v2. tail motor has a little more bite and doesn't blow out as much, the added weight doesn't seem to change flight dynamics, and the solid tube is sturdier. wires are wrapped in a single long piece of shrink wrap. For only a couple dollars more than stock, it's the way to go.

it seems to give the heli more tail control. installing was as easyas the stock unit.

This is a great replacement for the stock assembly. After one of many crashes, noob pilot errors, i needed to replace my tail assembly. Having the longer boom, also helped with tail blowout.

A must upgrade or replacement for Blade Mcpx v2. My old tail boom is hollow and it splits easily after not many crashes. Also, tail blowouts are very eminent on the shorter boom, because the tail motor has to work harder to keep the heli from spinning wildly.The long tail boom does really prevent tail blowouts well, but you will still get some blowouts if you are not good at managing your collective. works great, no vibrations from tail. Solid boom is durable. Only thing I recommend is to put a piece of electrical tape over the spot where the edge of the blade will strike it when you break a link in the rotor head. You need to protect the wires which are wrapped outside of the boom.Have noticed a minor tail wag when flying outdoors, like it has too much gyro gain - not an issue that affects flight

At first I didn't like the control difference, but within one battery, I was flying far better! Silly they don't just give this long tail boom stock...

If you're having tail wag on your original MCPX v2 at full throttle to do 3D aerobatics, this tail boom is a must.

Regardless of which version of the mCP X you might own, consider this to be a mandatory upgrade. The reason why is that the tail is prone to "blow out" (meaning the heli will partially pirouette) during hard throttle usage. This fix will help to significantly reduce the problem. Not only that, but for those who are looking at replacing the old boom/motor due to a crash or whatever, this mod is actually less expensive than replacing the stock unit. Easy to install, seems to have more tail hold than stock. Price is right. Horizon Hobby has some great products.

This tail kit is solid core instead of the hollow carbon that the regular tail has, thus it's stronger. It's a direct plug and play in a standard frame. The carbon is notched as expected and it fits well. If you have an after-market frame you'll need a 2mm tail holder to get this one to fit right in.The tail on the mCPX is known to wash out under high power moves. This is very difficult to recover from and happens mainly in the last half of a flight as the batteries start to move
