Terrible product. After 2 months it has stopped working. I spoke to Ring and they have told me that they would need to send me a new one, however the product warranty ran out in Sept 23. I purchased the item in Jan 24. They have "offered" me a 30% discount on a new camera. There is no mention that the warranty has expired when you purchase. No help from Ring and no help from Amazon. Terrible product, terrible customer service.

I bought this two years ago and in that time Ring (and Amazon, as parent) have shown their true colours by more than DOUBLING the subscription price! In two years!
I’ve now cancelled my subscription and will be getting rid of this greedy, subscription based black hole and moving to the Eufy model which has local storage and no subscription. I urge everyone else to do the same to avoid Amazon and Ring altogether.

Ring/Amazon are heading for a big shock. People are not going to accept the current price gouging. Be warned! The camera isn't even good at what it does. It's an outdoor camera right? So why can't it pick up my wifi from the extender on the other side of the wall. If you want to know what happened 5 mins ago, Ring is the way ahead. Not for me though, recent price rises mean I'm out.

Kamera kommt nicht mehr in das WLAN rein was seit 2 Jahren verwendet wird.Sämtliche Versuche das Gerät neu zu starten und neu einzurichten schlagen fehl.Daher keine Empfehlung das Produkt zu kaufen.Darf mich nun auf die Suche nach einer neuen Außenkamera machen und wieder Geld ausgeben.Ich denke man kann schon erwarten das eine Kamera, an der ja im Grunde genommen nichts verschleißt (außer der Akku), länger als 3 Jahre hält.

Easy to fit and when coupled with the solar panel never needs charging.
These are quite wide angle, so they quite short range. The detail falls off after about 10 metres, but in the zone the cover the image is very sharp. The one covering my rear garden covers a 90 degrees and leaves no blind spots.
Motion detection is good and can be tailored to exactly what you need.

Even charges in days with cloud cover. Everyone always states whether a panel works or doesn't. Partly, you have to do the homework and figure-out where the sun's path is. Habe die Kamera jetzt 2 Jahre im Betrieb. Hat immer super funktioniert wie man es von Ring gewohnt ist. Komisch nur das nach exakt 2 Jahre die Kamera auf einmal kaputt ist. Lässt sich nicht mehr einschalten, reagiert auf nichts. Ist mir ehrlich gesagt bisschen zu teuer um nach 2 Jahren schon kaputt zu gehen.

Although these cameras have some nice features, they also have a lot of issues and Ring support is very poor. Bought the Spotlight Cam Battery which worked well in the summer but as soon as it got cold the camera kept misting up at night. Ring swapped it out and sent a Spotlight Cam Plus which is allegedly an upgrade but I don’t think it’s as good as the original model. The misting up is fixed but now when it gets cold the battery says it needs charging even though it doesn’t?!! I also have a

It’s outrageous that you have to subsequently buy a monthly contract. When first bought my camera there was no mention of this
I would personally pay more for a product that didn’t require a monthly fee to briefly record who is at your front door. Mine now only does absolutely real time so by the time I have checked on my phone the caller has been and gone and there’s no record for burglaries parcel drop offs etc
It is a scam!

Massive disappointment I’m really sorry to say, I have purchased items on Amazon for many years and the majority of items have been great I have rarely had an issue. This obviously comes with a but, I bought this item and three months past the date I was able to get product support it breaks down £150 ish pounds down the drain very frustrating.

DO NOT BUY. This camera was initially quite good, but now the colder weather is here, it is pretty much useless at night. When there is damp in the air, the camera mists up, it doesn't detect anything and all you see is a black blurry screen. I have tried anti fog spray, and also rubbed a bit of dish soap over the lens. The latter worked for a day or two, but then once it wore off it was back to the usual black screen. Further edit. After 6 months, the spotlight has stopped working! Absolute

The camera works ok but is left wanting. The resolution of the video is not high enough because of the wide viewing angle. When you need a detail view like of a face it's going to be grainy. I have no idea if 2k cameras would be any better. I thought hd meant the veiw would have been clear for such things.
The light is ok but you would need to use other security lights too as the camera alone doesn't light up the garden much.

Initially worked ok but picture quality deteriorated over a short period of time.
As can be seen in the screen grab, the picture quality from the camera, at the bottom of the image is poor and gets worse toward the top of the image.
Ring Customer Service were worse than a complete waste of time. The agent I spoke to was almost unintelligible. Her advice was to install separate lighting. So, I paid for a security camera that isn't fit for purpose. Ring have told me to pay more, to install

Re-solar charger has enabled me to key ring put light camera operational with little to no maintenance throughout winter and summer as kept both batteries above 90% throughout the past year. The only maintenance that may be required is a wipe out the solar panel eight solve this product is easy to install and to connect to the main unit, to which it provides a trickle charge to throughout winter and summer.
I have had no issues with the solar charger and also I have not noticed any EMF or QRM

I love this ring camera, it gives peace of mind, I sleep so much better knowing I can look at what's going on and be alerted to what's happening outside my home, I'm not a fan of subscription charges and always try to steer clear, but after the initial free trial was over I didn't hesitate to subscribe, the cost over the year is good value to me, it's been my very favourite security camera, nowhere as many false alerts as other cameras, rain can be a bit of a pain sometimes,

Ive had this product for 2 1/2 years. It disconnects from the wifi every couple of months for no reason. It can't be reset remotely, you have to press the button on top. For me this involves getting a ladder due to the position of the camera. After about 18 months, one of the spotlights failed, so, now only operating with one light. In winter, the battery life is awful. I get about 4 days use and then have to get the ladder out again to change the battery. This is even with the solar panel

Very easy to install, I just screwed it to the fence & pointed it upwards & once connected to my Ring Outdoor Camera it gets it to 100% power around midday even on cloudy days so the camera is always ready to go.
Much easier than having to keep a check on the battery with the reassurance it is fully powered.

I got this to use on my ring cam in my garden. All works prefectly well and easy to fit the only downside i have is it needs to be in direct sunlight as once the sun is gone the battery doesn't charge... but since having it connected i haven't had to manually charge my camera so its definitely doing its job aslong as kept primarily in a sun trap most the day.

Front wall faces east - I have this panel set up to face south east so that it gets the early morning sun and direct sun until about midday. So far that is enough to keep the battery charged to 100%. As I've only used it for a few weeks I can't say how good it will be in winter. However even then I expect it will stop me having to manually recharge the battery very often. For me this panel works well.

We are in st ives cambridgeshire UK.. the solar panel is South facing. We are now in May. Gets sun most of the day. Had this for a few days now. Topped up the battery from 90% to 100% in no time and now holding at 100% . Several events during this period. So at this time I am very impressed.
Update 170523 now secured to the wall. And working fine..

It’s a great camera but has almost no options. One doesn’t have the option to crop or zoom the live feed. One can only zoom digitally which makes the image low quality. It only records if there is a movement detected (and for a monthly fee). There are cameras like Logi Circle which record for free constantly for 24 hours
