It's lockable and uses IDE cable...no sata adapter needed or 80wire IDE for Xbox hard drive upgrade. Quick Tip: If you are getting "invalid format" in the HD hot swap for Xbox, you need the original A/V Xbox cable.

Ist noch für einen alten PC WIN 98 oder XP. Hab aber auch schon Atapter für SATA.
Funktioniert alles. Wenn jemand so etwas braucht, auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

| Bad Hard Drive - questionable quality | 01/10/2019
I bought 3 hard drives from this vendor on September 2018 as backups. (10/1/2019) 2 out of the 3 are in a non-working condition. They were never used out of bag not working. They are not new hard drives. IF you are planning to use these hard drives to store valuable data I would advise to stay away from this vendor.

So I purchased this drive for use of a specially designed computer (integrated within a system), to replace a possibly bad drive that still worked but showed a case of various freezes. Anyway, I was able to install the OS on this new drive and rebooted it. After a couple miniutes getting intow windows (windows xp embedded), I got a KERNAL_INPAGE_ERROR BSOD. After restarting the computer, the computer no longer can see the hard drive. I already verified the condition of the cabling and what not

These drives are not new. The drive I received had over 44,000 hours. SMART was showing the drive in a state of pre-failure.

The drive looks well, no scratches, looks new even if it was new-other.
Had no problems to clone it and ran at the first attempt.
A scan before cloning showed zero bad sectors and that made me super happy.
However, the space seen was not 160GB but 149.1GB. Not that I care for having
11GB less, I am just a little worried if these 11GB are of bad sectors that have been
assigned to alternates. Can that be?
The old drive lasted over 18 years. I might not have them to live but I hope that this one

Adequate, especially as a replacement drive in a legacy system which hosts the old standard PATA/IDE drives - and can always be used as an external drive to store gobs of photos and personal data ..

Was purchased as new drive. It's not. The pins for the cable select/master or slave setup are bent. The hard drive is loud but its an IDE so thats expected. Just beware that buying any of these they are not going to be new. The sellers just lie to get them sold.
