The blu ray came brand new as described, and better price than others.
Winters Bone is definitely worth watching. Some stuff as all movies aren’t realistic, but if you want a good view of the New Ozarks this is your movie.
My family liked how hardly any profanity was used, and no indecent scenes. If only more movies kept those indecent scenes out.

This must of been the film that put Jennifer Lawrence into stardom...
she plays a17 year old trying to bring up younger brother,& sister,& to complicate& worsen the situation she has to find her errant father whose put the family house up as part of a court bond.
Faced with homelessness JL has to track her father down, which leads to all sorts of dangers.
The film is austere ,& realistic, & well directed by Debra Granik.

Very depressing look at rural poor lives with very little hope and aspirations. Interesting and a certain warmth to characters. Jennifer Lawrence is excellent as the daughter facing adversity.

I love this movie. So many plot twists. And it actually wasn’t really far-fetched, especially being in a community like that. Poor area, not very densely populated, lots of illegal activity, drugs, crooked cops. Shows what can happen when someone snitches in that world. Didn’t like the ending when the uncle drove away, presumably knowing he wasn’t going to ever come back

17-year-old Ree Dolly (Jennifer Lawrence) sets out to track down her father, who put their house up for his bail bond and then disappeared. If she fails, Ree and her family will be turned out into the Ozark woods. Challenging her outlaw kin's code of silence and risking her life, Ree hacks through the lies, evasions and threats offered up by her relatives and begins to piece together the truth. Based on the novel by Daniel Woodrell, Winter's Bone is the winner of the 2010 Sundance Film ...
