Works great as a quick solution. Obviously never going to be as good as an IR flood light, which I also bought, plus it is triple the cost of a flood light. However the ease of adding to your camera which also supplies the power is great. The only downside and this is an issue of the concept not the product is that it illumates rain immediately infront of the camera aiding in false notifications. Thus would not happen if the light source (stand-alone) was used..

It is a great idea .... to provide more IR illumination to the area but it's design doesn't really give you what you are expecting. I would say that it increases the depth of view by 15%. When you buy an IR emitter you expect it to add no less than 50% and they typically add 75% while bringing you more illumination the entire throw. This adds a little bit of range however it washes and bleeds directly into the camera lens and the near view area is over-washed because of the halo of

Works as described, extends the night vision range of the UVC-3 AF and Bullet cameras.
Easy to install, although removal of the sun shield (visor) can require a bit of force.

If you are here I’m sure you are wondering like I was how much better will this really make the night vision? Well a lot. My back yard is has no light getting back there( at night of course) so the camera lit some area up but it needed more. Not the cameras fault it’s just really dark back there. With this there was no trouble seeing the area. I have, sense put up a g3 pro in that spot just for the sake of the zoom and highly recommend it. I have the ir extender in another spot now and am

The accessory clip for the G3 seems like a good idea and this installed easily (although everything is a bit snug so took some pulling).I usually really like Ubiquity's Unfi products (I have 5 access points, 5 cameras, a switch, firewall, etc.) and find that they're usually really good value for money but in this case I'm giving 3 stars for a couple reasons:1. LED IR lights are cheap, I have several spotlight style IR lights that I have used with other cameras and this one has

Un peu cher à mon gout (plus de la moitié du prix de la caméra), mais très efficace. Augmente la portée de l'éclairage IR de plusieurs mètres.

Was a little skeptical about purchasing this based on how expensive it was, but WHOA you can absolutely tell the difference between the included IR and having this one added on ... I STRONGLY recommend this if you need additional IR coverage

This product works wonders for the night vision capability of your Ubiquiti G3 camera.I have the camera located on the soffit of the back porch looking down upon my pool currently under construction. Distance from the camera to the fence is approximately 50 feet.Prior to the installation of the LED IR Range extender while you could make out the fence, there could be someone or something in front of the fence undetected. Simple and effective, this LED ring really throws out some light to make it more effective. It glows REALLY bright red at night though, so it is not discrete. Not a big deal unless you were trying to hide your cameras a bit.
