This fits perfectly onto my 'JOBY GripTight Suction Cup & GorillaPod Arm for Smartphones'. I stick it onto my car window and it holds my phone so that I can use Google maps etc for navigation. The original JOBY mount has just snapped after 5-6 years of use so I bought this to replace it. It screws on very easily and is almost identical to the original - it looks to have slightly thicker and more sturdy pieces at the sides where it holds my phone. It's holds my iPhone 13 Pro

Held my phone very securely. I had move it along a bit as it was pressing a side button but still felt secure. Easy to open and release phone when required. Really pleased with it

I had one of these that walked off, but is well worth a second purchase. It is the only cell phone holder I have found that is truly pocketable. I do corporate video work and have used a bunch of these cell holders, but this is the only one I have ever liked.

I previously had a generic branded phone holder like this that has broken. This Joby feels better quality and stretches out to fit larger phones. It also folds flat when not in use which is really handy. I just wish it had another mounting point for portrait.

| Manufacturing defect | 18.09.2022
After a some light use, I noticed a crack forming near the tripod mount insert. On a backpacking web forum discussing tripod phone adapters, other users indicated theirs had failed in similar manners. This is obviously a manufacturing defect that Joby should address. It’s a neat little unit and if it weren’t for this fatal flaw I would be enthusiastic about the product, but as it stands it is unreliable.

I’ve spent loads of money in the past on cheap and cheerful phone mounts. I really wish I had saved that money (and hassle) and just bought this instead. Incredibly compact and very well built. Feels like it will last a long time!

I didn’t realise when purchasing that it can only hold the phone horizontally as it doesn’t expand enough to hold it vertically. Is good for the price of this doesn’t bother you however it’s not fit for the purpose I needed it for

Pros:
Very compact and light.
Expands large enough to hold an iPhone 12 Pro Max in a case.
Strong grip.
Cons:
A bit difficult to mount the phone since you need two hands to expand the feet which are spring-mounted.
Springs are strong enough that phone won't fall out but can shift in mount if bumped .

Spring loaded grip has maximum span of approx 90mm (3.5"), plenty to hold my old ZMax phablet horizontally, giving me great flexibility for use as a security camera. I did have to remove the old case, which proved to be too wide for the grip. Fits the GorillaPod mini tripod I'd bought years ago, which has a standard 1/4" mount.

This phone mount is extremely light but still holds my phone just fine. While it’s not as sturdy as one with a screw that tightens down, it is ample for a quick tripod mount and is light enough to make it into my backpacking kit.

I had one of these a few years back and it was lost. I loved it and finally got around to getting another to go with my tripods. Very stable and grippy. Love this brand. Will get it again...hopefully though I won't loose this one.

Doesn't feel super grippy on the phone, but well made and good for phones up to 5.8 inches. Super portable, and stealthy. Fits most common tripod mounts. Handy for occasional use.

Super light and folds flat in a second. Compared to the heavy and sharp edged aluminum ones (I returned those), this is feather light and you don't even notice it in your pocket. Still have not found one more convenient than this one. The tripod mounting threads ARE METAL and have proved to be secure on all sorts of mounts.

Within 6 months of purchase from a retail store ( not Amazon) it cracked on both sides of the thread insert and broke. No fault of craftmanship just fatigue on plastic from a lot of use. A great cellphone mount but buy the smart version it holds tighter and is better constructed for the same price, I did.

Both threads are different sizes.
As I've now opened the package so I can't even return it.

Highly recommended, very compact and sturdy and works well in landscape mode with my Huawei P30 smartphone in a bulky armoured case.
It folds down really small but still feels solid and for me this is ideal. I can carry it in my pocket or rucksack top pocket with a compact Ultra Pod mini tripod when skiing, hiking and climbing and not even notice it, so perfect for a tenner!

I use this with a tripod and an iPhone 8 to stream our weekly church services via facebook live. I'm not sure if it would work very well for larger smartphones, but it's perfect for smaller ones like the iPhone 8. Also, it works great in landscape (horizontal) but would NOT work in portrait mode (vertical).

I recently changed my phone to an IPHONE 11 PRO PLUS and it fits even with the case on the phone

Looks great, very streamline, made of solid material.
Despite that mine cracked and I was never able to use the tripod with a case in my iPhone Xs Max. The phone is just too large (horizontally positioned) to fit well in the phone spring loaded phone holder for suck a large phone.

The product when it arrived was relatively small. Flat and no bigger than the height of my longest finger. You would feel short changed. That said, when actually used it's does grip the phone quite well and can fit the base Joby - good fit. That said, after more use it does give you the feel it might break due to the minute size of the applicator.
Now I've got a mini tripod and selfie stick for my phone.

So, this product did what I needed it to do and it was available. It mounts easily to a tripod and a cell phone clips to the bracket via spring-loaded clamp. I needed it pretty badly, so it was worth the purchase. If I had seen this in person first, and didn't need it so badly, I would not have purchased it. It allowed me to mount my phone
(iPhone 11) to a tripod, but the clamp itself isn't that rugged, and the $20 tag is a little high.
Glad I have it, $10 is a better price.

Very disappointing. The black plastic parts seemed to be of low density and crumbled into small bits when I attached it the first time. Not even going to bother trying to get my $ back - low ticket item. But definitely not recommended.

Decent product but you can only hold the phone horizontally (unless you use the magnetic feet and mount to a vertical surface). Magnets are strong but I don’t trust it in many situations.

Habe den Joby Gorillapod und wollte mein Handy als Kamera nutzen, entsprechend brauchte ich diesen GripTight Mount (muss nicht unbedingt dieser sein, aber dieser wurde mir empfohlen). Es ist sehr klein und kompakt, lässt sich "zusammenfalten" und so leicht verstauen/transportieren.Mein iPhone X mit Hülle (dBrand Grip) hat gerade so gepasst, aber es war leicht mühselig es anzubringen. Ohne Hülle passt das Ganze einwandfrei und ist leicht anzubringen.Des Weiteren stört mich, dass es
