Album di debutto dei Franz Ferdinand, a mio parere il migliore tra i loro. All'epoca ha stupito per freschezza e originalità e, a distanza di tempo, questi pezzi brillano ancora e convincono. Da mettere in loop.

Ho usato il prodotto a scopo personale, e ne ho apprezzato la qualità musicale, album molto interessante, che riprende sonorità della New Wave e del Post-Punk, facendole proprie con perizia tecnica e d'arrangiamento.

L'album d'esordio dei Franz Ferdinand fu una sorpresa perché il gruppo di Glasgow miscelava musica pop con un buon ritmo che in parte ricordava atmosfere Beatlesiane. Do cinque stelle perché il disco le merita tutte.

El contenido del cd es de gran calidad. Temas seleccionados de una banda genial. El tiempo de entrega, correcto. Y la relación calidad-precio, muy buena. Si lo he valorado solo con tres estrellas es porque la caja vino rota. No sé qué pasa últimamente con los cds, pues nunca he tenido problemas. Doy un toque de atención a la empresa de transporte o al control de calidad. Otra cosa, la misma semana recibí otro cd sin el plástico precinto con el que recibo todos y otro con la parte superior del

Este disco homónimo es el mejor trabajo de los de Glasgow, las canciones son muy bailables y siempre quedan bien en cualquier fiesta.

This album has a total running time of only 38:49(which I had to double check, as I was certain it was a lot longer), which is very short for an album, but when listening to it, it doesn't feel that short – as the album is jam packed with interesting songs. I'd much rather have a decent short album than a long album that is full of filler tracks. In fact, there's only one track that I would normally skip when listening to this album.I found this review hard to write, as Franz

Te gusta la musica de baile? Compralo! Te gusta las canciones con estribillos pegadizos? Compralo! Franz Ferdinad debutó con este disco que hizo temblar las pistas de baile de todo el mundo. Es uno de esos pocos discos en el que cada canción cuenta. Realmente increible!

Álbum imprescindible de la explosión indie de los 2000. Temas perfectamente medidos y estructurados para el debut de esta banda de Glasgow.A pesar de ser de segunda mano tanto el cd como la caja y la carátula llegaron en perfecto estado.

I bought this because I liked the singles, especially "Dark of the Matinee". If I had written this review after playing the album once or twice, it would have been 4-stars and a lot of praise. But unfortunately each subsequent time I listened to it I liked it less and less. The lead singer's voice just irritated me, the way he over-pronounces certain lyrics. Then the music started to remind me of a marching band. Now I can not even listen to the singles that I liked so much in the

On first listen, the album might not seem so bad, and for the hipsters who are more concerned about the "coolness" of Franz Ferdinand will probably continue to drool over the arty poses in the centre of the lyric booklet. One the second listen rolls around, the vocals grate beyond belief and even the slowest among the music buying public show start to realise that all of the songs are exactley the same.
