Hatte bisher nur die EP. Da diese bisher nicht als CD veröffentlicht wurde, nun eben als mp3. Und da ich hauptsächlich über iPod Musik höre, vollkommen in Ordnung. Über die Musik muss ich nicht wirklich ein Wort verlieren. Kaufempfehlung!

Diese sehr schön gestaltete Veröffentlichung sollte eigentlich im Juni 2018 nur in echten Plattenläden verkauft werden. Doch entweder verschätzte sich die Industrie etwas in der Limitierung oder man darf wieder einmal die böse Gier unterstellen. Die Wahrheit liegt irgendwo dazwischen... „Baal“ ist ein Drama von Bertolt Brecht, welches in seinen Zwanzigern entstand und mehrfach überarbeitet wurde. I am so very desperate for a good quality MP3 recording on this, but won't buy this because either Parlophone or Jones/Tintoretto Entertainment Company LLC require this to be watermarked (or maybe it's amazon?). Anyway, until this is removed I will not purchase.. but thanks Amazon for telling me and allowing me the choice.

Formidable prestation du grand, que dis je de l'immense, talentueux et regretté David Bowie. J'ai acheté ce mini lp importé d'Angleterre pour une somme modique à l'époque de sa sortie en 1982. En esperant voir le film de la télévision anglaise sortir un jour en DVD.

Forgot about this Baal ep, so it was good to see that Amazon stocked the 10” vinyl version. Only a real Bowie fan would be interested, but Bowie is at his best singing songs from Bertold Brecht’s “Baal”

La performance est indéniable mais je m'attacherais plus au produit en lui même :
- coûte la moitié du prix sur Amazon Espagne,
- Parlophone propose encore une pochette bâclée, plus floue que la pochette originale.
Même en fan inconditionnel, je suis plutôt déçu de cette réédition, normalement vendu uniquement en magasin. Ne vaut pas les 40€ (coût moyen 23€ en magasin).

Phenomenal voice. Bowie was clearly a man who possessed many talents and could have easily been popular in any era due to his diversity. He accomplished so much in his life but was limited by time and health. He will go down in history as one of the greats.

I'm a huge fan of David Bowie and was delighted to find this amazing offering on Amazon. The music is memorable and delivered by Bowie in his customary unique fashion. I can't shed much history on this piece, but can say that I enjoyed it as a great mix which sort of resonates in my mind as the usual show tune on acid.

I'm glad that the 1982 David Bowie in Bertolt Brecht's Baal-EP is now available in mp3 download form. All though I have two 12" copies and one 7" copy, it is nice to have the mp3s available. I do wish it could get a full CD release, though, with expanded artwork and maybe reflections on the project by Bowie, producer Tony Visconti or others. Possibly, they could release it as a CD/DVD and we could get a DVD release of the BBC TV-movie as well. I am a big fan of Brecht and Bowie

I thought I had all there was (within reason) in Bowie's vast catalog. I'm not so obsessive to acquire every b-side and remix ever made by the genre-shifting master, but somehow the existence of this 1982 EP eluded me until I was browsing the mp3s on Amazon. Recorded as part of a BBC TV play, in which Bowie played the lead, this is a very traditional - very much NOT rock and roll - set of songs. I find it a fascinating detour between the Scary Monsters and Let's Dance albums, which

Phenomenal voice. Bowie was clearly a man who possessed many talents and could have easily been popular in any era due to his diversity. He accomplished so much in his life but was limited by time and health. He will go down in history as one of the greats.
