These needles have great flexible cables and a lovely matte finish bamboo that is, for me, a nice degree of slip, but the big issue I have is with the ferrell area of the join. There's a hole that is necessary for tightening the needles to the cable, however the edge of that hole is not smooth and is *constantly* catching on yarn. This is especially true with the needles in smaller sizes; it's the worst on sizes 2-8 but it's a problem all the way up to 15. I had to totally give up on

I love these needles. The set is so complete and easy to use. The case is beautiful and secure. I have used them on several projects when my metal ChiaoGoo set is too slick. The bamboo is great for knitting Silk or slick yarn.Well worth the price!!!Only one problem. The # 2; 5" bamboos needle have a faulty male connector which renders them useless.

I bought a number of red replacement cords to use instead of the plastic ones that come with the set. (The plastic cables that come with had too much kink and memory for my tastes.) The bamboo needle tips are beautiful, and they work fine with the red Chiaogoo cables, which I ordered in small and large separately. Added to the price, but worth the investment. A beautiful set and a good investment.

The wood is great for my knitting, especially when I knit with silk yarn. I also like the fact that they attach to my wire CHIAOGOO cords. Where the wood is attached to the SS I have a ruff spot, I hope it will smooth out with use.
