Great compositions, instrumentation, musicianship, lyrics, and best of all, vocals | 10/03/2018
Faux Renaissance, a self-created genre, at times it verges on Soft Rock. Whatever it is, they're absolutely GREAT at it!!! I strongly urge you to purchase all 9 original studio albums, starting with 1997 debut "Shadow of the Moon", generally considered their very best.

Another beautiful album by the wonderful Blackmore;s Night. Catchy, upbeat tunes intermingled with thoughtful slower songs, many derived from traditional tunes and given the Blackmore's Night treatment of applying medieval and Renaissance instruments. It holds the attention from beginning to end.

Dies ist meine erste Blackmore's CD. Sie trifft genau meinen Geschmack. Eine Mischung aus irischer Folklore, "Bauernmusik"des Mittelalters und Trend der 70er Jahre. Man muss einfach nur noch Träumen.

Auf jeden Fall hat dieses Album das schönste Covermotiv aller BN-Alben, diese Sommerstimmung mit Burg im Hintergrund (ist da jetzt Sonnenaufgang oder Sonnenuntergang?) lässt vom Album einiges erwarten. Es beginnt mit dem bombastischen "Highland", auch die beiden folgenden Songs überzeugen voll. "Believe in me" ist für mich ein absolutes Highlight und einer ihrer besten Songs überhaupt, auch wenn vielleicht manche das genaue Gegenteil behaupten. Ja okay, man kann es als Kitsch

I've been listening to Blackmore's Night for a few years now and really like their stuff. However in my opinion this is one of their weaker offerings. It's very commercial but seems to be a bit derirative and recycled.The first track Highland is very upbeat and a good foot tapping number but I have to say it sounds a bit like the final track of a movie soundtrack, the sort of movie with a happy ending where all the characters end up quaffing ale round a big table or dancing off into

Es ist meine erste CD von Blackmore's Night und ich bin durch Zufall draufgestoßen. Seitdem bin ich großer FAN von der Band.
Die mittelalterlich getouchte Musik hat mir schon immer gefallen, aber der Mix den der Ausnahme Gitarrist Ritchie Blackmore mit seiner Musik macht ---> ist superbombastisch. Die CD ist wundervoll !

Un connubio perfetto, in questo come in tutti gli altri dischi di Ritchie Blackmore e di Candice Night, che oltre ad essere bellissima, è il naturale complemento armonico e musicale dell' ex Guitar-Hero ex Deep Purple, ex Raibow... possibile che ancora state qui a leggere e non siete già corsi a comprarlo?!?

I came across this band on YouTube and liked it very much. I like medieval and Celtic type music and this is very in keeping with that genre.I have listened to it a couple of times on a decent HiFi and it is very nice to listen to. The music is fantastic and the singing equally so. I have ordered some more CD's from this group after listening to them extensively on YouTube.Highly recommended .

denn sie scheren sich nicht um moderne Musik-Präsentation,
machen was ihnen gefällt, und was MIR gefällt!

es sind ja nun schon an die zwanzig jahre an denen der gute ritchie als hofnarr verkleidet und die mandoline schwingend durch die mittelalterszene hüpft. immer noch ein genialer musikant und ein begnadeter gitarrist, aber doch ein wenig seltsam. aber das war er ja schon in den 70er jahren, als er noch bei deep purple spielte.
diesmal ist ihm aber mit seiner frau candice night ein erstaunlich gutes und in sich stimmiges album gelungen. vielleicht liegt es daran, dass es ihrer gemeinsamen tochter

I've listened to Blackmore's Night snippets many times, and now decided to collect them all. I admire Ritchie Blackmore, his unique talent, musical visions and feels. I adore Candice' wonderful vocals which has similarities with ABBA's Agnetha and Anni-Frid, and then some Stevie Nicks.

Probably the weakest album of the entire BN back catalogue. Ritchie and Candice very much going through the motions with this one and "phoning it in". No stand-out tracks at all, all very same-old same-old, and as another reviewer put it, strictly elevator music. For BN completists only.
